George/Greene Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

First United Methodist Church Food Pantry

Our mission as the people of First United Methodist Church of Lucedale is to be caring people who believe in the nurturing of our members through worship, service, and fellowship. We desire to reach out to others both local and universal in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Food Pantry is open on Tuesdays – 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


United Way funds 19 health and human service agencies and programs. Additional funding opportunities for human services agencies are available through our Community Impact program. UWJGC also provides gifts-in-kind, specialized training and consultation to a host of local public and private non-profit social service agencies.

Lucedale Rotary Club

Meets- Monday at Noon

The Lucedale Rotary Club meets every Monday (school holidays off) for lunch at noon in the Multi-Purpose Building at MGCCC Campus. Lucedale Rotary co-host the annual County-wide fair and Christmas Parade.

Lucedale Kiwanis Club
Meets Thursday at Noon

The Lucedale Kiwanis Club meets every Wednesday (closed for school holidays) for lunch in the Magnolia Room at MGCCC Campus. Kiwanis host the annual "Black & White Ball" and fund raisers for local youth recreation.

George County 4H Club

The George County 4H Club meets throughout the year hosting a wide variety of youth events. The 4H program is managed by the George County Extension Service Office. All school aged children are welcome.


American Red Cross assisted 2,778 community members/families affected by fires and other local disasters, provided 4,789 individuals critical skill training through First Aid & CPR training, water safety/aquatics and other health and safety courses. Provided 12,771 services to military members, veterans and families, including emergency communications.


Boy Scouts of America served 1,186 in Scouting in Jackson & George Counties and increased youth advancement by 12 percent. The Pine Burr Council recently celebrated its 100th anniversary serving South Mississippi.



The Salvation Army distributed approximately 15,000 bags of fresh produce to 4,800 families in need, served 1,785 families with food, toiletries, diapers, clothing, utility assistance and other basic needs. Housed 645 men, women and children through the Red Lodge Shelter in Pascagoula, MS.
